Do you know on to correctly perform a nasal rinse with a rinsing bottle? Using a rising bottle correctly to perform a nasal rinse can make a significant difference in its effectiveness. This short instructional and educational video by EUFOREA is a quick step-by-step guide to help you get the most out of your rinsing bottle:

  1. Prepare the solution: Use a pre-made saline solution or dissolve a teaspoon of non-iodized salt in a cup of warm, distilled, or previously boiled water. Ensure the water is lukewarm for comfort.
  2. Fill the bottle: Pour the saline solution into your rinsing bottle according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. Position yourself: Lean over a sink, tilting your head slightly to one side. Keep your mouth open to breathe and allow the solution to drain properly.
  4. Insert the bottle: Gently insert the bottle’s nozzle into your upper nostril, creating a seal.

  6. Switch sides: Repeat the process on the other side by tilting your head in the opposite direction and squeezing the bottle into the other nostril.
  7. Blow your nose gently: After rinsing both sides, gently blow your nose to expel any remaining solution and mucus.
  8. Clean the bottle: Rinse the bottle thoroughly with distilled or boiled water to prevent contamination. Allow it to air dry completely before the next use.

By following these steps, you can effectively and safely perform a nasal rinse, helping to clear your nasal passages and improve your breathing comfort.
